A. Even though I think the Holocaust is by far the worst historic violation of human rights, you might want to focus on one of the others. Assuming this is a recurring assignment for your course, your instructor has probably seen dozens of assignments on the Holocaust already, and as a college writing tutor, I can guarantee you that cliche subjects regularly get lower grades than what they deserve. The Rwanda massacre may be a good topic to pursue, because I know a lot of information has become mainstream on it since the release of the film Hotel Rwanda, and it's still quite a timely issue. A word of warning though, that if you do choose this idea, then I wouldn't reccommend relying too heavily on the recent movie. I've seen it myself, and… [cont.]
